Hearts for Brighton Hospital Covid 19 patients Emma Richardson on 07787362744 or emma.richardson37@nhs.net is the co-ordinator. She has asked if we could send photos to her of the ones we do so she can keep a tally etc, and thank appropriately.

Please send completed hearts to:

The Chaplain’s Office,

St Marys Hall,

Royal Sussex County Hospital,

Eastern Road,

Brighton,

BN2 5BE.

One heart stays with the person who has died, and the other is sent in a card with condolences to their loved ones. They need matching pairs of hearts, approx 6.5cm finished, not stuffed so it fits inside the card. Hearts can be sewn, knitted or crocheted. Draw a heart onto cereal packet or grey board as a template. Use blanket stitch to sew together as this is the easiest way to get a neat finish, but you may prefer to do something different.
