Wealden Walks are a collection of self-guided walks available throughout the district. They have recently been tried, tested and improved to help explorers of every age discover Wealden’s hidden gems.
The new set of walks will have launched this September 2021. A description and historical significance of the walk, along with the route details and a map of the walk can be viewed and downloaded from the Healthy Wealden website healthywealden.co.uk/walks
Originally developed as Wealden District Council’s millennium commemoration, the initial Wealden Walk started as a 100-mile walk around the district. In future years, this turned into a series of individual walks that covers every parish area within Wealden at least once. Each walk is designed to look back at the history of the area over the preceding 1000 years.
