Members of the Fairwarp Flower Guild of Christ Church felt it would be appropriate to hold a Flower Festival over the long weekend of 2-5 June 2022 to celebrate the momentous and unique Platinum Jubilee of the Queen’s accession to the throne.
Love is all around
The Flower Festival will be entitled “Love is All Around” based on the popular music of each decade of her reign.
The church will be open for viewing the flowers at the following times:
Thursday 2 June – 12.30pm – 5.00pm
Friday 3 June – 10.00am – 2.00pm
Saturday 4 June – 10.00am – 5.00pm
Sunday 5 June – 3.00pm – 5.00pm
Each of the organisations in the village will be taking part and producing a floral arrangement representing a popular song from across the seven decades.
The members of the Fairwarp Flower Guild have been raising money for this event with a special Christmas Hamper raffle and a plant sale at Christ Church on Sunday 1 May 2022 between 10am and 12pm.
Money raised from the Flower Festival will go towards the repair of the stained-glass windows with a contribution to the charity chosen by HM the Queen for this celebration.
